The Price of Patriotism

Back when I was in the Army National Guard, which seems like a lifetime ago, someone asked me how I could be in the military and still call yourself a democrat. At that time, I couldn’t tell him what Adlai Stevenson so eloquently expressed.

Petrus

Pompeii seemed like a paradise to Father when we moved here from Rome two years ago. I was named Petrus from a friend who was crucified. Someone apparently mistook him for the heretic who founded the sect called Christianity.

Lone Bouquet Outside Marshall Cemetery

The other day I drove along Melville Road outside Cheney and just outside the chain link fence of Marshall Cemetery laid a lone bouquet. I’m sure it was more than likely left behind or discarded following a service the week prior. I could tell it more than likely appeared fake.

Boomer Ang

Boomer, Boomer Ang, Boomer, Boomerang. I love that name I love that name because it is my name because I love to wag my furry tail back and forth like a boomerang! Or is that a yo-yo? It’s okay because I am a happy dog with not a care in the world.

Here’s Looking at You

I guess there are two realities in this country right now, ours and Donald Trump’s. In our reality, Biden won the election and is presently sitting on his thumbs waiting for the federal government to allow him access to information related to National Security and COVID 19.

Fishing Adventure

The week that followed was a long , hard fought week of tedium and hard work. Lloyd’s attitude of being the hard ass was still very much there, though he had occasion to soften up a bit following a day at work.
