Yes, tis the season for unending Christmas carols played over and over again. At first I don’t mind. I’m even heard singing along with a couple of songs. But, by the end of December I am sick of endless versions of “White Christmas,” “I’ll be Home for Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” and “Rudolph the Red nosed Rein Deer.”

All These Icons Are Gone
Last week we lost some pretty familiar if not famous people who entertained us these last fifty or forty years. Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath fame was my first exposure to this thing called heavy metal.
Defining Music
At work I do a lot of thinking about the obscure and abstract. Being a janitor and all that allows me that luxury. So I’m absently cleaning one of the restroom I’m responsible for and in the background there are various music genres that play throughout the casino though most of the guests are more than likely to tune out the tunes.

Poetry in Motion
Wednesday night Northwest writers’ Guild did poetry for a change of pace. We are after all dynamic and always try to stay one step ahead so no one gets bored and stale. Linda the writer, our coordinator did some fact checking for us. She told us about the different kinds and types of poetry there is and the fact, which I already knew, that poetry went into music form and have remained so to this day with lyrical and ballad types.
